Quote of the Week

I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”                                                               — Martin Luther King, Jr

This is a day in history that will be remembered … Osama Bin Laden has been killed. A man that has become a household name for all the ugliest reasons. Will the big dark terrorist cloud that has been hanging above us since September 11th disappear? The one that makes us look over our shoulders at airports, on the subway and even in our most trusted places. As I think about the world that my baby will grow up in, I get a knot in my stomach. I can only hope that he will be embraced by light and love, and that the stars come out to play again.
